– Perween Rehman, a Pakistani advocate of poor, and Director of Orangi Pilot Project – Research and Training Institute (considered to be worlds most organized organization, providing service to poor), known nationally and internationally for her selfless and relentless humanitarian work for the past 30 years, has been assassinated by terrorist, on Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 on her way back from work in Karachi, Pakistan. – Perween Rehman’s relentless philanthropic work in support of underprivileged has been extensively chronicled by Western media. – Perween Rehman is lost not only to the family but also to about 2 million people in Orangi town in Karachi, Pakistan, who depended on her expertise. She is also lost to communities in many other parts of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Nepal, Namibia, Indonesia, Philippines and more. She was very well recognized humanitarian.
